Camping on the banks of the Dordogne
The Dordogne River, which rises at the foot of the Puy de Sancy, flows right by the campsite. Just a 10-minute walk from the campsite, it offers an idyllic setting for nature lovers, fishermen and families in search of peace and quiet.
In summer, you can soak your feet to cool off after a hike, observe the aquatic fauna or take a break at the water’s edge, lulled by the lapping of the river. A number of natural lakes are just a few kilometers away for refreshing swims and moments of relaxation in the great outdoors. You’ll find the Lac du Pré Cohadon just a 5-minute drive away, with its lovely lake tour; the Lac de la Tour d’Auvergne, a 20-minute drive away, is equipped and supervised in summer, perfect for a family day out with its sandy beach, playground and picnic tables; and the Lac de Chambon, with its water sports activities.
Other wilder lakes, such as Lac de Servières and Lac de Guéry, invite you to contemplate and stroll in the heart of nature. A breath of fresh air in the heart of the Auvergne, within easy reach of your mobile home or tent!

The Puy-de-Dôme region abounds in spectacular waterfalls, true hidden treasures of the Sancy trails. Just a few minutes from the campsite, discover the Queureuilh waterfall, a natural gem accessible by an easy family hike. Further afield, the Mont-Dore waterfalls offer a series of waterfalls in the middle of the forest, ideal for a refreshing break during your walk.
