Family camping in La Bourboule
Ideally located in the heart of the Chaîne des Puys, our campsite in the Puy-de-Dôme welcomes you all year round in a warm, relaxed atmosphere.
Whether you’re a couple, a family or a group of friends, you’ll find a range of services designed to make your vacation comfortable, simple and enjoyable.
From breakfast to hikes, from car storage to recharging points, everything has been designed to make your stay at our family campsite in La Bourboule as easy as possible.
Campsite home
Our team welcomes you every day from 9am to 12pm and from 3pm to 7:30pm from December 21, 2024 to November 03, 2025.
A question, a need, a hiking tip?
Come and see us at reception! You’ll find a map of the surrounding hiking trails: the GR30 is just 150 meters away. In case of unforeseen circumstances, we offer cancellation insurance through our partner NEAT Camping, so you can leave with complete confidence.
Access gates open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. (only 1 vehicle per pitch).
For late arrivals or early departures, outdoor parking is available.

Caravan and snow campsite open all year round
Camping La Marmotte, a caravan park in La Bourboule, also welcomes you in winter with its stabilized pitches, drying room for ski equipment and heated accommodation.
The joy of camping in the mountains, even in the snow, is possible here!
Services at your family campsite in Puy-de-Dôme
Enjoy bread and pastries delivered to reception the day before and during the summer (to be collected from the bar-restaurant), a full breakfast service at €8 in the bar in the morning, a hotel formula with the option of half or full board (please contact us), a laundry (washing machine, tumble dryer, drying room for ski clothes), free wifi throughout the campsite and free TV in all accommodation.
Our family campsite in La Bourboule also has everything you need for your leisure activities in the Puy-de-Dôme, with a wide selection of board games and books for all ages.
Finally, we know how much your pets are an integral part of your family. That’s why we’re delighted to announce that our four-legged friends are welcome at our family campsite in the Puy-de-Dôme!
To ensure the well-being of all our campers, we ask you to respect a few simple rules: keep your pet on a leash in communal areas, make sure you pick up its droppings and make sure it doesn’t disturb other campers. By respecting these rules, you will contribute to maintaining a pleasant atmosphere for all.

Equipment on loan and extra
The campsite offers a wide range of facilities to enhance your stay, either free of charge or at extra cost.
On loan :
- Cot, high chair, bathtub (subject to availability)
- Hair dryer, iron and ironing board
- Individual self-service barbecues during the summer months
- Petanque balls, table tennis rackets, rackets, a ball for home ball, molkky game
Extra charge:
- Summer fridge hire
- Washing machine and dryer in the main building
- Bed linen and towels for hire on reservation
Electric vehicle charging station
A charging station for electric vehicles is available in the campsite parking lot (fee payable).
Vehicle guarding under certain conditions
Leave your car at the campsite during your hike. On request and subject to availability, we can provide free storage for your vehicle for the duration of the GR30 if you spend at least one night at the campsite.

Approved campsite at La Bourboule
Our family campsite in La Bourboule has everything in store for families. As such, we have been awarded the “ Famille plus” label, which means that we can provide a number of facilities for the little ones free of charge, as well as a personalized welcome for families and children.
The La Marmotte campsite is also committed to sustainable tourism: it has held the Clef Verte label since 2024 and has been awarded the Qualité Tourisme distinction, proof of our determination to offer an exemplary welcome and quality services.
Shops and services close to the campsite
La Bourboule and its surroundings offer everything you need: supermarket 100 meters away, open seven days a week, stores, pharmacy, gas station… You’re just a stone’s throw from everything, while enjoying the peace and quiet of a natural, family-friendly campsite.
The icing on the cake is a shuttle bus to the Massif du Sancy, just 300m from the campsite during the school vacations. We also offer an on-demand shuttle service to the ski resorts of Le Mont-Dore to join the free shuttles in winter.
